It’s extremely difficult to eat every fruit in your area you’d like to if you are sensitive to consuming these fruits during the season in which they are harvested. This is not news, but it’s obvious that fruit that travels less will taste much better and is much better for the environment in terms of reduced carbon footprint.
Freezing fruit is a great option to “extend the season” of freshness for bulk fruits obtained within season. Tipnut has a really nice article on how to freeze fruit successfully and systematically. Check it out and enjoy fruit beyond the normal season of harvest.
